Its a good idea I think. So maybe there could be a more beefy "Xbox One 2.0" being released in say 2017 (4 years after original). With the new version having much better hardware, while new games being released (being the same disc) will work on both consoles...with the newer xbox one having better graphics.
Then maybe they will release Xbox One 3.0 in say 2020-2021 (3-4 years later) with new games being able to work on both Xbox 3.0 and 2.0....and maybe 1.0 (perhap...
I had got a 49 inch 4k TV on walmart.com for $349 and 1TB Holiday Bundle X1 on abt.com with free shipping and no sales tax for $349. Spent $720 Total after Tax/S&H. Best Buy still has great deal though.
I think Microsoft should shrink 360 hardware into a portable and increase ram. That way I can play my Xbox games on my portable and new games will be available for 360.

Xbox 360 still looks good for an 8 year old system. I would have thought graphics on PC should be vastly ahead by now. But it is not a huge difference.
Guess graphics don't improve like they use too. For example the Dreamcast was released about 9 years after SNES and the graphics difference is like night and day.

Because ps4 will have new eye toy...new controller and other stuff they want to sell. But yeah, they could do that if they wanted to but then that would decrease number of ps4's being sold. Large amounts of them being manufactured lowers build cost of console.
Sony will most likely require you to insert your ps3 disc into ps4 everytime you play to verify you have it. Its as simple as that!

People that bought wii did not buy as many games for it compared to people that bought ps3 and/or 360. I would imagine the ps3 was the least profitable...but its hard to tell. I would think xbox was the most profitable even though they had the rrod that cost them around $1 billion...but xbox live makes microsoft over $1 billion per year.
